4 Questions To Ask Before Hiring A Driving Service For Your Wedding

There are many reasons to consider renting a driving service for your wedding. For starters, a driving service can transport your entire wedding party to your ceremony location at once, ensuring everybody arrives together and on time. Furthermore, a driving service such as a party bus or limo can provide you with the room you need to ensure wedding gowns and/or bridesmaids dresses don't become wrinkled. Before you book a driving service for your wedding, however, there are some questions worth asking.

How Will Your Drivers Dress?

If you're having a formal wedding, the last thing you want is to have your driver show up wearing a t-shirt and jeans. Ask the driving service what type of attire drivers are required to wear; if there's no dress code in place, you might want to consider looking elsewhere for a service that'll have formally or professionally dressed drivers instead.

Are Any Amenities Included?

When you receive a quote for your wedding-day driving services, take a look at the breakdown of costs and find out exactly what's included versus what might cost extra. For example, will your driving service come with any snacks or beverages? Will you have access to a sound system or television screens inside the vehicle? These small touches can make a huge difference on your special day.

Do You Have a Minimum Rental?

Some driving services will require you to rent from them for a minimum number of hours, so be sure to find out about this right off-the-bat. This is especially important if you're only looking to rent a driver for an hour or two for the pre- and post-ceremony. If you're looking to rent a driving service (such as East Coast Driver Solutions) for the entire day (ceremony, reception, etc.), then this probably isn't something you'll need to worry about.

Is Alcohol Permitted in the Vehicle?

Last but not least, if your wedding party is planning on doing any drinking immediately before or after the ceremony, make sure to find out ahead of time whether or not alcohol is permitted in the vehicle. Your driving service will need to have a liquor license in order for riders to consume alcohol in the vehicle, so never assume that it's okay. You could end up getting yourself or your driver into serious trouble.

By taking the time to ask these questions before booking a wedding-day driving services, you'll be able to make the right decision.
